Lloyds British International’s origins date back to over 200 years when it was formed by the Association of the Wrought Iron Chain Manufactures and traded under the name of Staffordshire Public Chain and Anchor Chain Company. Over the years have acquired indisputable technical expertise, knowledge, and significant experience over the course of its history to enable it to become a globally recognised brand. Whilst our knowledge, expertise and brand has grown one thing has remained the same which is our company mission. We aim to keep customers compliant and workforces safe through our Testing, Inspection and Training services in line with local and international legislation. Lloyds British International History
Our date back to 1812, when the company was formed by the Association of the Wrought Iron Chain Manufacturers and traded under the name of ‘Staffordshire Public Chain and Anchor Testing Companyy”.
The purpose of the testing and certification company was to ensure that the chain and anchors which were manufactured for the British Navy achieved a minimum standard of tensile strength, and certification would be issued to verify the safety of the equipment.
With origins dating back over 200 years we have acquired the technical expertise, knowledge, and significant experience over the course of its history to enable it to become a globally recognised brand.
We aim to carry forward the same high quality of work and service it has done for the past 200 years.
